Thankful Slimline

Hey There!

I haven’t done many slimline cards, but they are so fun and cute I’ll need to do more!

This card uses the CTMH September Stamp of the Month, Grateful for this Life, along with paper and stamps from the current seasonal catalog. See the end of this post for a project list if you are interested in duplicating this card!

I used the same technique that I used on THIS page to color the word “Thankful”. I used my MISTI tool to put color on just part of the stamp and stamp on the paper. Then I added another color and stamped again. Each time I wiped the ink off the stamp in places I didn’t want that color to be.

I hope you are enjoying these autumn themed projects as much as I am!

Grateful For This Life

Hey There!

It is finally here! The new annual Close To My Heart core catalog and the Sep/Oct catalog are available to order from!!

I am very much in love with the September stamp of the month that I have featured in this card. Not only does it make a cute card, but it has great prompts to make me reflect on being thankful. I’ve got a project I’m working on showcasing that. You’ll be seeing that in a few days 🙂

For this card I also used two new fall themed stamps and two of the new colors! I’m thrilled with all the new colors, they’re amazing. The new colors I used were Papaya and Shortbread, but I also used Paprika, which is a previous color that goes beautifully with Papaya.

There isn’t any patterned paper or color card stock on this card. Stamped directly on to the card base with the words, and stamped onto White Daisy card stock for the pumpkin, gourd and leaves from Autumn is Calling and Pumpkin Spice- Cardmaking Stamp sets

It is a little hard to see in the picture, but I used a shimmer brush to add some glam to the pumpkin, gourd and leaves. I can’t enough of the shimmer brushes!

Here is a list of all the supplies I used to create this card:

Happy Birthday Rainbow Cacti Card

Hey There!

Happy Cacit in front of colorful splattered background card

I can’t help but play with these Pawsome Stamps set. I just love these little cacti.

This was one of those cards that did not turn out at all how I had intended when I started! It was going to be a subdued, elegant card. These guys apparently had another idea. They wanted fun, funky and colorful!

I added some of the Pawsome Stamps sequin mix on this card. I do love sequins.

The background is Distress Oxide inks mixed with a bit of water and splattered all over. The circles are blended Distress Oxides. It is hard to tell in the picture, but the circles are cut out from the splattered piece and the blended colors are on a second piece glued behind to show through the cut outs.

I need to be better about taking pictures WHILE I’m creating. I’d love to start doing some tutorials for the cards I make.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mother’s Day Mini Album

Hey There!

It has been awhile since I’ve made a mini album!

I created this one to give my mom for Mother’s Day.

Chipboard makes up the base and the whole thing is covered in white cardstock.

All of the paper is from my stash of Close to My Heart things.

I used my HP Sprocket to print all the little 2×3 pictures.

It is filled with pull outs and tags. Fun around every corner 🙂

I’ve posted a flip through you can check out in Instagram HERE.

Tea Party 3D Interactive Tag Card

Hey There!

I’m more than in love with this little tea pot stamp. It is another retired Close To My Heart stamp set. Going back and using sets I purchased years ago has been a lot of fun. It is such a shame when stamps get used for a bit then forgotten!

I used this to create this simple fun fold card.

I’m not going to go into much detail here, because I’ve made a quick process video/tutorial. You can find it on my YouTube Channel.
