Butterfly Cards

Hey There!

Intricate cut butterfly shaped card.

I’ve got two cards to share with you real quick today.

I recently received the Close to My Heart You are Enough bundle that includes an amazing layered butterfly thin cut die.

I used that die to make these two cards. The first card is actually butterfly shaped.

I placed the solid butterfly thin cut die on a folded piece of paper with part of the wing just off the paper so the fold wouldn’t get cut.

I just use some old CTMH paper in my stash to cut out the three butterfly layers and create this colorful card.

The next card is a take on my Tea Party 3D Interactive Tag Card.

Layered Butterfly Fun Fold card.

This was made exactly the same way, except I created this layered butterfly instead of the tea party tag.

This paper is also an old collection from my CTMH stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Besties Card

Hey There!

Card featuring two girls as besties with flowers.

I’m just stopping by really quick to share this “Besties” card. These two girls were inspired by my daughter and her best friend.

The girls are from the “Besties” collection by Close to My Heart. They have several stamps sets featuring different girls and their hobbies. The flowers are also from Close to My Heart as part of the Daisy Meadows collection.

I used the CTMH Circle Shaker Thin Cuts to die cut the circle the girls are standing in.

Everything is colored with Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Brush Markers.

Pop Up Mini Album

Hey There!

Pop Up Mini Album- interior pop outs

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted here, but I have been busy! (The best place to see my daily creations is on my Instagram @emmaheartspaper)

Pop Up Mini Album- Butterfly cover

This little Pop Up Mini Album is very simple, but creates a very dramatic effect!

It is perfect to feature a few small pictures and embellishments. It is only 6×6 inches, so it could be used as a really fun card!

I’ve created a quick process video and tutorial that has been posted to my YouTube Channel: Emma Hearts Paper.

Take a look and create your own, I’d love to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tea Party 3D Interactive Tag Card

Hey There!

I’m more than in love with this little tea pot stamp. It is another retired Close To My Heart stamp set. Going back and using sets I purchased years ago has been a lot of fun. It is such a shame when stamps get used for a bit then forgotten!

I used this to create this simple fun fold card.

I’m not going to go into much detail here, because I’ve made a quick process video/tutorial. You can find it on my YouTube Channel.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Birthday Bear Bookmark and Card

Hey There!

I’m pretty pleased with how this creation turned out. I found a bunch of bookmark bases in my Close To My Heart Stash that I had never used! Not once! I’ve made a few bookmark/card combos this week, but this one is my favorite.

I mean look at this guy. He’s so stinkin’ cute!

I am just learning how to use alcohol markers so he was good practice. I bough the Spectrum Noir TriBlend Brushes and I LOOOVE them. The each have three shades in a single marker (hence the TriBlend) so it makes it really easy for beginners to practice shading.

I fussy cut the bear, cake, hat and gift and attached them to this little plastic base.

I thought I was done, but then I realized he would look really cute on a card. Then it would be like a card and little gift in one!

I’ve made a couple other bookmark/card combo’s I’d love for you to see! Come on over and visit me on Instagram and take a peek! I post over there a bit more often, follow me if you’d like to see what I’m creating daily!

I’ve also got a little clip of this guy in action on insta. You know, as much action as a bookmark can have 🙂
